Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 August 2026
Niddle is a community platform and event-first discovery marketplace, available on the web at niddle.co and as the Niddle iOS app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can remove it.
Information you give us
Account and profile. Your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), and any optional profile details you add such as photo, bio, location (country, state/province, city), languages, links and contact methods.
Business, professional and organisation pages. If you create or claim a listing, the business details you enter — description, category, address, phone, website, hours, services, portfolio media and ordering or delivery links — are published on Niddle.
User-generated content. Community posts, comments, reactions, moments/stories (which expire after 24 hours), reviews, events, plans, invitations, RSVPs and uploaded images or video.
Messages and inquiries. Direct messages, quote requests and inquiry threads, including any attachments. Messages are private between participants and are visible to Niddle staff only when reported for moderation or when required by law.
Support and feedback. Anything you send us by email or through in-app feedback and reports.
Information collected automatically
Device and push tokens. If you enable notifications in the iOS app, we store a push token along with your device platform, device name and app version so notifications can be delivered. You can turn this off at any time in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings.
Product analytics. We record aggregated, first-party usage events inside Niddle — such as searches performed, listings and events viewed, and daily platform totals — to understand what people find useful. We do not use advertising networks and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
Technical logs. Standard server and error logs, including IP address and request metadata, kept for security and debugging.
How we use your information
To create and secure your account; to publish the profiles, listings, events and content you choose to share; to power discovery, search and recommendations; to deliver messages and notifications; to process paid memberships and promotions; to moderate reported content and enforce our Terms; and to improve Niddle.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
Service providers
Niddle runs on a small set of infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Cloudflare and Lovable (application hosting and content delivery), Expo and Apple Push Notification service (push notification delivery), Stripe (payments for memberships and promotions — card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by Niddle), and Google (optional sign-in, and AI processing used to help draft and enrich business listing content).
Public versus private information
Your profile, listings, events, community posts and reviews are visible to other members and, depending on your visibility settings, to the public web. Messages, inquiries, saved items, notification preferences, device tokens, email address and billing records are not public.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time — in the iOS app under Profile → Settings → Delete account, or on the web from your profile settings. Deletion removes your personal details, hides your profile and listings from every Niddle surface, and removes your device registrations, follows and notification preferences. Content that is part of another member's record — for example a message you already sent to someone else, or a transaction record we must keep for accounting and fraud prevention — is retained in anonymised form.
Your rights
You can access and correct your information at any time from your profile, export or request a copy by contacting us, turn notifications off, control your profile visibility, block other members, and delete your account. If you are in a region with additional rights (for example the EU/UK or California), you may also ask us to restrict or object to processing; email us and we will respond.
Children
Niddle is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
